In the subsequent phase of his career, James sharpened his focus on cyber and information security. He served in key roles at major security vendors including Network Associates, McAfee, Intel Security, and Guidance Software. Here, James concentrated on managing major accounts, focusing on the largest and most significant clients for each vendor. He dealt with a range of technologies including vulnerability analysis, network intrusion prevention, endpoint protection, and network analysis tools.
